Nijisseiki pear is a lovely specialty of Tottori. The best season to enjoy the pears is from late August to September. A huge number of many other varieties of pears are also available. The best season to enjoy Akanashi pears (such as Niitaka and Shinko) is late October. Alternatively, you can experience picking your own pears in the pear orchard. Savor fresh, juicy pears.

Pear-picking season starts in late August and ends in late October. (Weather permitting)
Operations of the Tottori Sand Dunes Sightseeing Gondola may be suspended for strong wind, stormy weather, maintenance work, etc. (No refund in the case of suspension while we are pleased to offer sweets for guests as compensation.)
