I booked a tour to the Similan Islands because I heard you can see beautiful, crystal-clear waters there! ★ In conclusion, it was absolutely fantastic!!! I was so touched by how kind all the tour guides were (;;)♡ They spoke to us Japanese people in Japanese, took wonderful photos for us (both on land and in the water), remembered our names and were so considerate—they were all wonderful people! It takes time to get there, but it was well worth it for the wonderful memories we made! Breakfast, lunch, water/juice and snacks were provided on the boat, and snacks were also provided after the tour, so you don't need to bring anything! On the way back, it was raining and the boat was quite bumpy, which surprised me, but we made it back safely 🙂↕️ I was fine, but if you're worried, it's a good idea to bring motion sickness medication! (I think you can also get some from the tour guides!)
Although there were a few minor hiccups along the way, I was very satisfied with my Similan Island trip overall. The Similan waters were crystal clear and beautiful 🤣. Most importantly, having snorkeled in so many places, I've seen small fish everywhere, and the fish in the Similan were plump and large, seemingly well-protected. The boatman's service was quite good. The only minor drawback I'd like to suggest is that the boatman asks you to take off your shoes before boarding. I strongly advise against it 🙅. It's no fun going to the island in the middle of the day; once you do, the floor, stones, and wood are scorching hot, and there are also reefs and sharp rocks. By the end of the entire trip, I had four blisters on my feet from burns and punctures, which was really unpleasant. I strongly recommend wearing shoes to protect your feet. Otherwise, I highly recommend this must-do itinerary.
