Laguna

Laguna is located in the Calabarzon region of Luzon, right south of Laguna de Bay. It is roughly a 1.5 to 2.5-hour drive from Manila, making it a favorite day-trip destination.

The dry season between December and May offers the best weather with minimal rain, perfect for outdoor river trips, theme parks, and hot spring resorts.

You can take long-distance buses bound for Santa Cruz or Calamba from terminals in Cubao or Buendia, or book a private charter / tour with KKday for maximum convenience.

A 1-day itinerary is great for major spots like Pagsanjan Falls or Enchanted Kingdom. For a relaxing resort weekend, plan a 2-day, 1-night stay.

Top highlights include shoot-the-rapids canoeing at Pagsanjan Falls, riding roller coasters at Enchanted Kingdom, hiking Mount Makiling, and exploring the Seven Lakes of San Pablo.

Don't miss Laguna's iconic Buko Pie (fresh coconut pie), Kesong Puti (local white cheese made from carabao milk), and Espasol (rice cake rolled in toasted rice flour).

Yes! Laguna is extremely family-friendly, featuring world-class amusement parks like Enchanted Kingdom and numerous private hot spring resorts with pools for kids.

Wear quick-drying clothes and water shoes, bring a dry bag for electronics, and pack extra clothes. Life jackets and helmets provided by boatmen must be worn at all times.

You can easily combine Laguna with Tagaytay (for Taal Volcano views), Metro Manila sightseeing, or the coastal resorts of Batangas.

The currency is Philippine Peso (PHP). Tagalog is the local language, but English is widely spoken and understood in tourism areas and establishments.
