After comparing all the Mt. Fuji + Gotemba tour packages on various platforms, I chose this one. First, we took a bus to experience matcha tea. The experience was very fun and quick, and they offered matcha-related souvenirs for purchase (not mandatory). Next, the tour included a house with a view of the river and Mt. Fuji! It was truly spectacular! The clouds cleared and the sun shone brightly that day, making it incredibly beautiful! The guide also helped with taking photos and other souvenirs. Afterwards, we visited Mt. Arakura. The guide provided detailed explanations of the related culture and attractions. She recommended a soft-serve ice cream that was so delicious I'd go back just for it! However, the five-story pagoda was really tall, requiring climbing quite a few stairs 😉. Although it took a while to reach the top, the view was truly magnificent. The souvenirs at the station were very attractive. With an extra 15-30 minutes, I felt I could have explored more leisurely. Finally, we had a 3-hour shopping trip to Gotemba. It's a huge place! 🤤 We managed to eat and shop within 3 hours. A little research beforehand is helpful; decide where you want to eat and where you want to shop so you can have a relaxed and comfortable shopping experience! Overall, the itinerary was fantastic. The tour guide was very helpful and explained things clearly and easily. The tour bus was comfortable and didn't shake at all 👍. The option to rest and sleep between stops was also a great feature. I highly recommend this tour! Note: The meeting point was quite difficult to find (because JR Shinjuku Station is huge and was under renovation). I suggest arriving early to find the meeting point. Also, 7:00-8:30 AM is peak commuting time in Japan, so arriving early will prevent you from getting stuck in crowds on the JR train. There's a Starbucks next to the meeting point where you can have breakfast.
