Gimpo

Because we were traveling with family and had a layover at two airports with nearly ten hours of waiting time, we decided to hire a car. We asked a driver to pick us up from Gimpo Airport and drop us off at Incheon Airport. The driver was very nice, and the car was new and more than enough for the four adults and four pieces of luggage; we were very comfortable! The owner (I think?) would add us on Line the day before to discuss the itinerary, and then we just had to wait for the day and get in the car without worry.

We booked a car for three people, with three large suitcases and one small carry-on. The car that arrived was large enough to be considered a business class car. It was comfortable and clean, and the car was easy to sit in without any sudden stops or braking. The driver, who spoke Chinese, didn't chatter around. The trip went smoothly. Highly recommended!

It was fantastic! This was our second trip as a group, as we both have families. Since we didn't want to drag our luggage back and forth between the airport and the hotel, and after the comfortable experience of our first night, we booked a return transfer. We joined the group the day before the transfer. There were about five of us, including my guests. We clearly informed them of the number of people, the size of our luggage, and the amount of luggage. The driver arrived early the next day.

I've been here for over a month and haven't been able to think of anywhere to go (mainly because it's so crowded everywhere during the long weekend). So I signed up for a day trip with kkday. Alex and Hong were very thorough in explaining the historical background. It was the closest I've ever been to North Korea. The best part was that there was no forced shopping. The whole trip was incredibly rewarding. I gained a deeper understanding of inter-Korean relations. At the observatory, you can use a telescope to peek into the North Korean people and their living conditions. Many places are restricted areas, so taking photos isn't allowed, but they're all embedded in my head! I loved visiting the Third Tunnel (a tunnel secretly dug by North Korea to invade the South). It was a super workout, haha, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have weak knees, backs, or heart and lungs.
