Tenerife
Tenerife is an important attraction in Spain's Canary Islands, with about two-thirds of its area covered by volcanoes. The most famous tourist attraction on the island is Mount Teide (Pico del Teide) with an altitude of 3,178 meters, which is also the highest peak in Spain. The island is also home to the ancient city of La Laguna and the Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its tropical rainforest and laurel groves. The island's carnival is held from February to March every year and attracts a large number of tourists. With 2,800 hours of sunshine throughout the year and a mild climate, it is an ideal destination for travel in all seasons.
