This 79-acre garden is brimming with over 7 million tulips and hyacinths of various hues, making it an ideal destination for tulip viewing. It’s a vast park with so many activities to do like biking, boating, and witnessing a flower parade. Come in the early morning for a peaceful stroll and capture lots of pictures as you walk through each of the inspirational gardens they have here!

Zaanse Schans

It’s like a trip to nostalgia when you visit Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum that takes you back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Here, you’ll find a museum, a beautiful windmill village, and handicraft shops that tell so much about Dutch history. When you come here during tulip season, you get a meadow filled with the prettiest tulip bulbs. Climb up to the mill’s deck to see a panoramic view of the tulip field, and enjoy the best views of the Dutch countryside.

Noordoostpolder

This city in Flevoland is where you’ll find Holland’s biggest flower bulb area. And during spring, the city is carpeted with magnificent tulips in a variety of colors. Your Noordoostpolder trip wouldn’t be complete without experiencing their Tulip Festival, which is when the tulips are in full bloom. From April 21 to May 7, a 100-kilometer scenic driving route is opened and a 40-kilometer route is made for bikers. There will also be activities to do here such as tulip tours and tulip picking.

Haarlem

Known as the center of flower bulb growing, Haarlem is another city where you can enjoy tulip blooms. In the north and south parts of Haarlem, admire the magical sight of flower fields every spring season. The best way to enjoy this experience is by riding a bicycle and cycling through the bike paths with beautiful views of tulips. Aside from Keukenhof Gardens, there are other places in Lisse where you can see tulips, such as farm fields. Though these are not meant as tourist spots, you can still enjoy this breathtaking view by strolling or biking around the fields–just be careful not to go near these as you may damage the flowers. These tulips are grown for livelihood purposes, so farmers take care of these flowers well.

Another picturesque tulip spot in The Netherlands is Kop van Noord-Holland. It’s best explored in late April when the tulips are in full bloom. If you’re not a fan of crowds and would like to steer away from touristy places, you’d want to consider visiting here. It’s an expansive flower field that’ll delight you with tulips of different colors. Many people like to bike or hike around because of this grand vista. Stay for a while and get to see tranquil beaches too– stop by for a quick dip at Julianadorp or in Petten.
