Getting Around Kaohsiung

One of the most essential purchases in Kaohsiung would be iPass, Kaohsiung’s transportation card that you can use to pay for your fare. You may use it in buses, MRT, and ferry boats. Both the MRT and light rail are fairly easy to navigate–just download Kaohsiung transit apps to familiarize yourself with the stations. You also have the option to take the bus for routes that are not near MRT stations.

Lastly, for your convenience, you may opt for private transfers especially if coming from the airport to skip the long taxi lines. Or even better, you may also rent a car!

Connectivity Options

You should know that Taiwan ranks first in having the fastest internet speed in the world. That being said, you shouldn’t have any problem staying connected on your trip. But if you like having your own internet device, you may avail of a 4G portable WiFi recommended for families, an eSIM, or a 4G sim card you can pick up at the airport.
