Getting Around Taipei
Getting to the city center from the Taoyuan International Airport is pretty straightforward. If you’re arriving late at night, the best option would be a taxi which is available 24/7 and takes about 45 minutes to the city. If you prefer a bus ride, you just have to know the bus number with a drop-off closest to your destination.
Another way to go to Taipei’s city center is via the metro (MRT) with a 35-minute travel time to Taipei Main station. Note though, that the MRT closes by midnight so plan accordingly. If you want a hassle-free experience, opt for a private transfer instead, to avoid long taxi lines and crowds during rush hour.
