Connecting Dolsan Island and the mainland over the ocean is Yeosu Cable Car. Instead of the standard cabin, we recommend the crystal cabin that will let you observe the ocean below. As its name suggests, the crystal cabin has transparent flooring and gives you the feeling of being suspended in the air. When night falls, Dolsan Bridge is lighted up in rainbow colours, and this is reflected on the calm waters. We definitely recommend taking this in the evening.

Catering to the demand of pretty backdrops for the gram, there is an entire zone of photo-worthy sets. In another photo zone, pose with life-sized teddies in a Science lab, Christmas scene and others.

Hanhwa Aqua Planet Yeosu is not only the second largest aquarium in the whole of South Korea, but also the very first to be built entirely aboveground. As an eco-friendly aquarium, most of its energy is harnessed from solar power. The massive 16,400m2 aquarium has over 55,000 marine animals from around 300 species on exhibition. This includes the beluga and baikal seal.

If you’ve watched the hit K-drama “The Legend of the Blue Sea”, you will find the Ocean Life exhibit familiar. This is because the reunion scene between Shim-Cheong and Jun Jae was filmed here.

Besides Yeosu, there are 3 other Aqua Planets in South Korea – Seoul, Jeju and Ilsan.
