Resorts World Sentosa Has Reopened—Here Are The Major Do’s and Don’ts On Your Visit

After a period of temporary closure due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Resorts World Sentosa has finally reopened its gates!

On 1 July, Wednesday, world-class theme park Universal Studios Singapore (USS Singapore) welcomed guests once again, complete with appearances from much-missed characters such as the bright and mischievous Minions and the lovable Sesame Street friends.

Meanwhile, S.E.A. Aquarium will reopen on 4 July, Saturday—much to the delight of its resident marine animals that have been missing their friendly interactions with curious humans.

As Resorts World Sentosa adjusts to the new normal under Singapore’s Phase Two of reopening, stringent safety measures in accordance with the directives of the Singapore Government have been put in place to ensure the health and safety of every guest.

The Resort is steadfast in enforcing three principles during this time—Safe Entry, Safe Experience, and Safe Environment for the utmost protection of guests throughout their visit from the moment they arrive.

Attractions in the resort are taking a careful and controlled approach, meaning, they will be open four days a week with staggered operating hours in the initial phase to limit physical contact and to avoid crowding.

Admission and VIP tours for groups will accommodate a maximum of five visitors. Shows, street entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and feeding sessions at the aquarium are also put on hold for now.

The Resort guarantees intensive and frequent cleaning and disinfection of all high-touch points. All rides are to be wiped down after every use, and all 3D glasses will be disinfected after every use.

The Casino, too, is abiding by strict safe management measures, adopting rigorous measures to provide as much fresh air circulation as possible to maintain optimal air quality that exceeds commercial facilities’ standards as well as installing antimicrobial-coated acrylic safety shields at all gaming tables and machines.
