In the mood to stretch those legs? Perhaps, a climb to the Philippines’ third highest peak will satisfy your thirst for adventure.

Mt. Pulag, a mountaineer’s favorite, rises 2,922 meters above sea level and is best known for the heart-rendering sight of a sea of clouds it treats to successful climbers. While it is among the highest mountains in the country, it features four major trails, namely Ambangeg, Akiki and Tawangan from Benguet, and Ambaguio from Nueva Vizcaya—all of which have varying skill and difficulty levels. If you’re a beginner, it’s best to take the Ambangeg Trail, an 8km trek with a gradual incline to the summit, which usually takes about 4 to 5 hours.
