Biryani

Biryani is a mixed rice dish that contains spices, vegetables, eggs, and the main ingredient, meat (chicken, beef, or fish). Some use goat, prawn, fish, or lamb. The ingredients of biryani vary in different Indian regions. Some biryani dishes may have corn, cashews, or fruits like pineapples. The different spices that can be used are mint leaves, green chilies, pepper, nutmeg, mace, ghee (clarified butter), onions, and cinnamon. Biryani may also be served with curry, salad, dal chutney or raita.
