In contrast to that of Alona Beach, the waters in Dumaluan are calmer and lower, thus preferred by families with small children. Since it is less developed as opposed to Alona, there is more space here for picnics or camping, and the public area is wider and can occupy more people. For those who want to avoid the crowd, you may check-in some private resorts for a day trip or overnight stay.
Bagobo Beach
Another Panglao gem, Bagobo Beach in Brgy. Libaong also has fine white sand and crystal clear waters. Divers frequent this place because it faces Arco Point, a popular diving spot that serves as a gateway to a myriad of marine life that will wow any visitor. Those who aren’t into scuba diving will still enjoy their stay here as there are coconut trees that provide shade along the shore.
Pamilacan Island
A 15 to 20-minute boat ride from Alona Beach will bring you to the breathtakingly beautiful Pamilacan island. Nestled in the heart of the Bohol Sea, this island paradise is a popular spot for dolphin and whale watching. While on the island, you can do some snorkeling as the area is teeming with marine life.
