1. Le Kok

Wait, what? Why are we telling you to travel all the way to Paris for Vietnamese food? Well, if you listened during History lessons in secondary school, you’d know that many Vietnamese escaped to France during the Vietnam War. While they were living in France, the Vietnamese brought their culture into France through their cuisine.

By now, Asian cuisine has became a commendable food choice during one’s Paris trip, allowing more Vietnamese food chains to be opened in Paris, therefore, you can have genuine authentic Vietnamese cuisine even in Paris.

 

Le Kok, located on 13th Arrondissement, is the most famous Vietnamese restaurant in Paris. As Le Kok’s business is overwhelming, you normally have to wait in line and eat in a hurry. Due to this dining ambience, Le Kok attracts more locals than tourists.
After taking your orders, the owner of the store will present you the appetitiser (it’s free!) — a huge platter of bones, cartilage and meat according to your queue number. The stew meat has been boiled over many times for it to become so tender you can effortlessly pull the meat off its bone. , causing your stomach to be half filled even before the chef even serves the main dish.
The dishes are rich in flavour, and the bean sprouts, coriander and basil adds on the the pleasant presentation of the food. Not only that, this delicious meal is also high in fibre. One portion of the dish is generally enough to feed two people.
