The itinerary differed slightly from the actual order; we didn't actually "pass by" the ship at the Malacca Maritime Museum, only viewed it from a high vantage point. The sun was shining brightly that day, and all the attractions were beautiful! Without explanations, it would be difficult to understand what to see at these historical sites, but our guide, Lionel, provided concise and interesting historical overviews of each site. We had plenty of time for photos. Lunch was a group meal of Peranakan cuisine, with portions limited (probably so we could have a little more to eat during our free time at Jonker Street!). Jonker Street is great for shopping! The pineapple tarts at the shop Lionel recommended were really good (you can try them first to see whichever you like; I recommend the traditional vegetable butter kind!). The ice cream at the coffee shop Lionel recommended was also delicious! We also bought some traditional Peranakan cakes on the street! The pandan was incredibly fragrant! The coconut sugar cake was also delicious! I was lucky enough to get one with four flavors! Traffic between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca is incredibly congested. The trip there took two hours, but the return journey, which started at 3:45 PM, didn't end until 7:45 PM – a full four hours! Luckily, there were restroom breaks along the way. The driver, Vicky, was excellent; I didn't get carsick at all. The day trip was worry-free, and he even recommended various delicious dinner options before we got off!
