Product Info

Walk through the atmospheric streets of Kazimierz, once the heart of Jewish life in Kraków. Discover historic synagogues, hidden courtyards, and places where Jewish and Christian traditions coexisted for centuries. With an expert local guide, gain insight into the customs, beliefs, and everyday experiences that shaped this unique district.

This walking tour brings Kazimierz to life—a place where history is present at every step. Along the way, explore Szeroka Street, the historic centre of Jewish Kazimierz, lined with synagogues and elegant townhouses from the 16th–18th centuries. Pass by the Old Synagogue, the oldest preserved synagogue in Poland, now home to a museum dedicated to Jewish history and culture.

Continue to the Remuh Synagogue and its historic cemetery, one of the most important religious sites reflecting Kraków’s deep Jewish heritage. See the Kupa Synagogue, once serving the poorer members of the community, offering insight into the district’s social fabric. Admire the Tempel Synagogue, a refined 19th-century building that today hosts concerts and cultural events.

The route also leads through Plac Nowy, a lively square filled with cafés and local life, before reaching Corpus Christi Church—a striking Gothic-Baroque landmark with a richly decorated interior, illustrating the coexistence of different religious traditions in the area.
