Upon arrival at Ranua Zoo, you will enter a vast wildlife park set in the middle of untouched forest. The zoo features a well-maintained wooden boardwalk trail of approximately 2.5 km, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the area in all seasons. As you walk through the park, you will encounter around 50 species and over 200 animals native to Arctic and northern regions. Highlights include the famous polar bears, as well as brown bears, lynx, wolves, Arctic foxes, reindeer, moose, wolverines, and a wide variety of birds such as owls and eagles. Each enclosure is designed to closely resemble the animal’s natural habitat, allowing them to live in conditions similar to the wild.

Along the route, your guide will be available to answer questions and provide additional insights about the animals and their behavior. There will also be time to visit the souvenir shop or stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants or cafés inside the zoo area (lunch not included).
