Know Before You Go: Footwear: You will walk on wet, slick surfaces inside the cave and trails. Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes with good grip. No high heels or flip-flops.
Know Before You Go: Cave Temperature: Even in hot summer, Prometheus Cave stays at a constant 14°C (57°F). Bring a light jacket or sweater for the 1-hour underground walk.
Know Before You Go: Swimwear: If weather allows a dip in the mountain river by the waterfall, bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes. There is plenty of space in the SUV for your bags.
Know Before You Go: Cash & Cards: Ticket offices accept cards, but carry some cash in Georgian Lari (GEL) for local snacks, vendor purchases, or tips along the way.
Know Before You Go: Long Journey: This is a full-day trip to western Georgia. The comfortable SUV makes it smooth, but expect an early start and a late return.
