Discover the natural beauty and cultural charm of Sapa on a 2-day, 1-night adventure from Hanoi, combining an authentic trekking experience with a visit to Fansipan – the “Roof of Indochina.”
Your journey begins with a luxury sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa. After lunch, embark on an approximately 9km trek through the spectacular Muong Hoa Valley. Walk through Y Linh Ho, a remote village surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, continue to Lao Chai Village, home to the Black H’Mong people and famous for its beautiful rice terraces, and finish at Ta Van Village, home to the Dzay ethnic group. Along the way, enjoy the peaceful scenery of Muong Hoa Stream and experience the local way of life.
In the evening, check in to a cozy bungalow in Ta Van Village. Relax in the peaceful surroundings, then join a local cooking session with a local family before enjoying dinner. You can spend the rest of the evening exploring the village or simply relaxing at the bungalow.
On the second day, travel to Fansipan Cable Car Station and begin your journey to the summit. Ride the modern cable car up to 2,800m while enjoying panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Explore Kim Son Bao Thang Pagoda and the surrounding spiritual complex, then climb approximately 600 stone steps or optionally take the mountain train to reach the 3,143m summit.
After conquering Fansipan, return to Sapa for lunch and enjoy some free time to explore the town before boarding the sleeper bus back to Hanoi.
This carefully designed itinerary combines spectacular landscapes, ethnic minority villages, local cultural experiences, an overnight stay in Ta Van, and the iconic Fansipan summit in one memorable Sapa getaway.
