Experience one of New Zealand's most magical wildlife encounters on this evening night walk in search of the elusive wild kiwi. At Tāwharanui Regional Park - a predator-free sanctuary just north of Auckland and meet your expert guide at dusk, when kiwi are most active, and head into the native bush after dark.
Follow your guide along the trails with a red-lensed torch in hand, searching for kiwi and other nocturnal wildlife in their natural habitat. Along the way, discover the park's unique ecology and the ongoing conservation work that protects these iconic flightless birds.

This is an outdoor night walk on natural bush trails, timed around dusk; exact start/pickup time is confirmed at booking and shifts with the seasons.
Kiwi are wild animals so sightings can never be guaranteed, but Tāwharanui is one of the best places in the region to encounter them.
Red-lensed torches are provided and used throughout to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
The itinerary is flexible and may change on the day based on conditions and wildlife activity.
The tour operates in most weather conditions. Please dress warmly and appropriately!

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 11 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 7 to 10 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 25% will apply
- For cancellations made 3 to 6 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–2 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
