Product Info

Explore the beauty of Antelope Canyon from the unique perspective of a kayak, combining paddling, hiking, and swimming in this 4-hour tour. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced kayaker, this tour offers an incredible opportunity to experience one of the most photographed and awe-inspiring slot canyons in the world. This tour is suitable for kayakers who are reasonably fit and excited for a mix of kayaking, hiking, and swimming.

Tour Highlights:
Kayak Adventure on Lake Powell:

Meeting Point: The tour begins at the bottom of Antelope Point Launch Ramp (accessible through Google Maps). Once there, you'll be introduced to your guide, who will provide all necessary kayaking equipment and a brief tutorial for beginners. After that you will walk down a steep sandy hill to access the water's edge and your kayak. You should be physically fit and comfortable walking down and back up a steep hill.

Main Channel Paddling: You'll start paddling in the stunning main channel of Lake Powell, surrounded by red rock cliffs and vast waters. Enjoy a 30-minute kayak paddle (approximately 1 mile) to the entrance of the Antelope Canyon.

Antelope Canyon Paddle: Continue paddling another 30 minutes to 1 hour to the back of the canyon. As you paddle deeper into Antelope Canyon, you’ll be captivated by the towering sandstone walls and the tranquil waters below. The canyon’s beauty is amplified by the sun’s rays filtering through the narrow openings, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadow.

Scenic Hike: Once you reach the back of the canyon, it’s time to park your kayak and embark on a scenic hike. You’ll walk through the narrow slot canyons, which have been shaped by millions of years of erosion. Every turn offers a new perspective of the sandstone formations and their vibrant colors. The hike takes approximately 1 mile into the canyon and 1 mile back out. Hiking distance and timing may vary slightly depending on the group's pace.

Photo Opportunities: This hike is perfect for capturing unforgettable moments, as Antelope Canyon is renowned for its striking landscapes.

Leisurely Paddle Back: After the hike, hop back in your kayak for a relaxed paddle back to the starting point, taking in the last of the canyon’s incredible scenery. You will be going the same route, covering the same distances. Please plan to kayak from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

Relax and Swim (Optional): Depending on weather conditions and your guide, there might be an optional swimming stop and time for lunch or a snack. After the hike, cool off with a refreshing swim in the pristine waters of Lake Powell. Enjoy stunning views around you as you float in the clear, blue water, surrounded by towering canyon walls, or relax on the rocks.

Tour Wrap-Up: Back at the launch ramp, you'll have time to share photos and reflect on the adventure with your guide.

  • Know Before You Go: You will need to arrive to Antelope Point Launch Ramp 30 minutes before the tour. This is important and mandatory. Use Google maps ANTELOPE POINT LAUNCH RAMP for destination.

  • Know Before You Go: This is an active outdoor adventure and requires moderate level of physical activity. Please note that this is different from the official Lower Antelope Canyon walking tour. All participants should be physically fit and comfortable walking down and back up a steep sandy hill to access the water's edge. You should expect to get a little wet during the adventure — it’s all part of the fun. Guests should be prepared to paddle for approximately 2–3 hours total (1–1.5 hours each way). Afternoon conditions can sometimes bring a bit of wind and choppy water, which may require a little extra effort on part of the paddle back.
