Located in the Kitayama area of Kyoto, 'Momijiya Bekkan Kawanoan' is a Japanese restaurant famous for its summer-exclusive Kawadoko (Noryo-yuka) cuisine, where you can enjoy a meal while feeling the cool breeze and listening to the murmuring of a clear stream.
Kawadoko, a summer tradition in Kyoto, is a cultural experience of dining on a special deck built over a river, known as a popular way to spend a cool and refreshing time during the humid Kyoto summer.
Momijiya Bekkan Kawanoan offers four types of plans to suit a wide range of preferences, from a casual plan featuring a two-tiered bento box with salt-grilled sweetfish and vegetable gelee, to authentic kaiseki like shabu-shabu or sukiyaki using premium Wagyu beef, and the 10-course 'Seiryo no Sato' meal.
Whether you are dining with friends, gathering with family, or celebrating with a loved one, you can enjoy the unique summer atmosphere of Kyoto in various settings.

As a special offer for booking through KKday, we will give you one bottle of "Kamikura Mitsugo," a sake made with yuzu from Mizuo, Kyoto, for every 2-3 people who book. For those who do not like alcohol, we will provide one soft drink instead.

Reminders
Reservations must be completed by 6:00 PM the day before. Reservations made after the deadline may not be possible on the day of your visit, so please book well in advance.
The room can accommodate 1 to 10 people. For groups of more than 10 people, please contact us in advance.
For dinner, only three plans are available: "Special Wagyu Shabu-Shabu," "Seiryo no Sato (Tsuki)," and "Special Wagyu Sukiyaki." The "Summer Kitayama" plan is only available during lunchtime.
As the riverside seating area is either outdoors or semi-outdoors, seating availability may vary depending on the weather.

- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 70% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
