See Jasper National Park from a whole new angle. The Jasper SkyTram is the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada, taking you 2,263 meters up the side of Whistlers Mountain. As you fly high above the treeline, you’ll get incredible, uninterrupted views of the surrounding Canadian Rockies.

A friendly guide travels with you in the cabin to share cool facts about the area's history, geology, and local wildlife. Once you reach the top station, you can take a relaxed walk along the accessible boardwalk. From there, you can look down at turquoise lakes, glacier-fed rivers, and the Jasper townsite below.

Want to go even higher? You can hike the 1.4-kilometer trail to the actual summit of Whistlers Mountain. At the peak, you'll be able to see six different mountain ranges, including Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. It’s a simple, unforgettable way to get to the top of the world.

  • The tram ride is approximately 7.5 minutes each way
  • It's recommended to allow at least 2 hours for this experience
  • Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome on the SkyTram, but are not allowed in the restaurant area and need a ticket (available onsite)
  • Bring a camera, water, sunscreen and dress in layers to stay warm
  • Dress in layers, as mountain weather can be unpredictable – and wear sturdy shoes if you plan to explore the trails. The temperature at the upper station can be 12° cooler or more than the Jasper townsite
  • Snowshoe rentals are available at the upper station from late March to early May
  • Children under 6 years can ride free but must get a ticket and travel with a paid adult
