After visiting the Cathedral, we'll explore Bilbao's Old Town. We'll stroll through its famous seven streets, a neighborhood on the banks of the estuary where traditional taverns mingle with modern shops. We'll then visit the Ribera Market, where you can find a wide variety of traditional Basque cuisine, along with a brief visit to the Church of San Antón. After strolling through the most central streets of the Old Town, such as Calle del Correo, we will reach Plaza Nueva, which, in addition to being a perfect example of Roman neoclassical architecture, houses the headquarters of the Royal Academy of the Basque Language. Exiting through one of the square's arches, we will visit Plaza Unamuno, where a sculpture of this prestigious Bilbao native awaits us.

Once we have learned about the writer's role in Basque culture, we will continue the route through the Old Town until we reach Paseo del Arenal. Here we can admire the Arriaga Theater on one side and the Church of San Nicolás on the other.
