Meeting point description: From St. Mark’s Square, face the Basilica and turn right towards the Doge’s Palace. Continue past the Bridge of Sighs to Riva degli Schiavoni (the waterfront promenade). Walk for 2 minutes, then turn left into Calle de le Rasse. The Venice Tours Office is at number 4536; look for the sign at the entrance. Accessibility:Unfortunately, this tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or guests with reduced mobility
Not allowed:Due to security reasons, luggage and big bags are not allowed inside the Basilica and Doge's Palace
Know in advance:The entrance ticket also gives you access to the following palaces around St. Mark’s Square that you may visit by yourself: Royal Palace now Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale, and Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana
Each gondola can host a maximum of 5 people. The seats aboard cannot be chosen but will be assigned by the gondolier depending on the guests' weight
In the case of unplanned church services, or during days of exceptionally high tide, access to Saint Mark's Basilica may not be possible. In this case, you may be offered an alternate tour, or choose to take the tour another day
In the case of exceptionally poor weather and high or low tides, the gondola ride will be canceled. The gondola fee will be refunded
Remember to bring:A valid ID document is mandatory for security checks at the entrance to the Basilica
For the visit to the basilica, clothing appropriate to the place of worship is required (NO bare legs and shoulders)
