Learn more about its rich history and elaborate, Moorish architecture from a professional guide as you walk around the uniquely well-preserved medieval citadel and explore both the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife gardens. 

Inside the palatine city and once the explanations have been received, enjoy the artistic beauty of the Patio de los Leones. Known for its iconic Muslim blue and yellow tile decoration, the courtyard is a stunning example of the splendor of Islamic architecture and engineering.

Next, visit the Palace of Mexuar, the oldest palace in the complex and the Palace of Comares, which was the official residence of the Sultan as well as the location of the throne room. Finally, head to the Palace of Lions, which is considered the peak of Nazari art.

Finish your tour at the sultan’s summer palace to the east of Alhambra. The Generalife is framed by breathtaking scenery and surrounded by a plethora of vegetation and green open space.
