I'm Richárd Várkonyi, a Budapest-based fashion and editorial photographer. Alongside campaign and magazine work, I spend part of my week photographing travelers at this city's most photogenic corners, so you're working with someone who shoots for a living, not a guide who happens to carry a camera.
Every session is built the way I'd approach an editorial: real direction, real light, real care with every frame.
The sessions:
Quick Frame (30 minutes): A fast, focused shoot at one iconic location. Ideal if you're short on time, or want a taste of the experience before committing to more.
Signature Walk (2 hours): My full route through 5–7 of Budapest's most photogenic locations, blending the city's history with a proper photoshoot. This is the complete experience: time to move through the city, change up backdrops, and actually enjoy the walk between frames.
Editorial Session (90 minutes): A styled, directed shoot with outfit and pose guidance, built for a more polished, magazine-style result.
Includes a short edited video alongside your photos, something you can actually post.
How it works:
We meet at an agreed point in the city. I'll walk you through poses as we go, nothing stiff or awkward, and no modelling experience needed.
You relax and enjoy the city, I handle the direction, the framing, and the light.
Afterward, you'll get access to the full unedited gallery to pick your favorites, and I hand-edit every photo included in your selected package myself, no batch filters, no shortcuts.
The walk (Signature Walk and Editorial Session):
Starting at Kossuth Lajos tér, we take in the Hungarian Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, Opera, Duna Corso and Vigadó, with the option to finish at Heroes' Square, Vajdahunyad Castle, or the Great Market Hall and the Liberty Bridge, whichever suits the light and your energy that day.
Who this is for:
Solo travelers wanting real portraits instead of arm's-length selfies, couples who want their trip actually documented, and small groups of friends who'd rather have real photos than fifty near-identical phone shots. All three sessions can be booked solo or with company.
