Your destination, the medieval town of Dürnstein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will give you the opportunity to explore its eventful history and its wide range of wine and dining options at your leisure. Climb up to the medieval castle ruins and enjoy the magnificent view of the Danube. Stop at one of the many small, local wineries for a wine tasting, and discover culinary specialties such as apricot dumplings, apple strudel, or other regional dishes. Visit one of the oldest churches in the valley, and then continue on to Melk Abbey. After a short stop, you will then enjoy a relaxing journey along the Danube back to your starting point.
