  • Try your hand at making a sake cup (or a small plate) that fits perfectly in your hand using precious black granite clay. *It takes about 1.5 months for the sake cup to be completed. Next, try your hand at indigo dyeing! You can experience shibori tie-dyeing on a 100% cotton domestic hand towel using authentic indigo dye. Use your finished hand towel right away at your hotel!! Experience the excitement as the pure white hand towel changes from yellow to green and then to indigo in the dye. *For languages other than Japanese, we will use a multilingual translation device.
  • Close to the station, perfect for your way home from a trip
  • Our studio is located a 5-minute walk from Atami Station, making it easy to stop by during or on your way home from your trip. Children are also welcome to participate, so please join us with your family or group. The pottery will be fired at the studio, and it will take about 1 to 1.5 months for it to be shipped. Please look forward to the finished product! You can take the hand towel home with you immediately.

Regarding cancellation of the event:

  • Please note that in the event that the tour is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances, we will not be able to compensate for travel expenses to the tour site or other costs.

  • *It may take up to one and a half months for your sake cup to be shipped. You can take the tenugui home right away. *The finished tenugui may fade when you first use it. Please be careful not to stain your clothes, bags, etc. when using it at your accommodation, washing it, or when taking it home. *Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
