Walk along the sky-high white walls! Limited-time scenic view: Snow Wall (Murodo area)
A Must-See Spectacle!! Dazzling Curved Beauty of Snow Walls!

People are captivated as they walk along towering snow walls right before their eyes!

★☆ Tateyama Kurobe “Snow Wall Festival” ☆★

When it comes to the spring Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the globally renowned "Snow Wall" is a highlight!
The "Snow Wall" is a 500-meter section of road near the Murodo Terminal, created by clearing the accumulated snow, forming massive snow walls.

Highlight ①: “Snow Wall Walk”

One of the snowiest areas in the world, Tateyama Murodo-daira reveals towering snow walls reaching up to 20 meters high, known as the "Snow Wall."
The “Snow Wall Walk” event allows you to stroll between these massive walls, experiencing the dramatic contrast of the clear blue sky and the snow-covered landscape—a signature springtime spectacle of the Tateyama Kurobe area.

Highlight ②: “Panorama Road”

A snow-covered walking path offering panoramic views of the Tateyama Mountain Range, available only from mid-April to early May.
Enjoy the breathtaking scenery from “Panorama Road,” which can only be seen for a brief period before the snow melts.

Highlight ③: “Snow Corridor”

A corridor formed by clearing snow to connect the rooftop of Murodo Terminal and the Tateyama Nature Conservation Center.

Every year, the snow walls reach heights of over 8 meters in April, rivaling the grandeur of the Snow Wall itself.
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route—one of the world’s most renowned mountain sightseeing routes through the Northern Alps, challenging to reach on your own
★ The tour includes a one-way fare (normally 12,170 yen) from Dentetsu Toyama to Tateyama to Ogizawa.

[Traverse the Alpine Route: Tateyama to Ogizawa]

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of the world’s most renowned mountain sightseeing routes, passing through the Northern Alps with peaks towering over 3,000 meters!
Spanning 37.2 km with a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 meters, nearly the entire route lies within the Chubu Sangaku National Park.

Travel seamlessly from Tateyama Station on the Toyama side to Ogizawa Station in Nagano, switching between different modes of transport. Enjoy breathtaking scenic spots and immerse yourself in the majestic natural beauty of the Tateyama Kurobe area, high above the clouds! 🌄🚞 Link Here
Marvel at breathtaking spots along the way: "Snow Pocket" and Kurobe Dam in Daikanbo area
Daikanbo Area

Located next to Murodo Station, Daikanbo Station’s rooftop observatory offers stunning panoramic views of Kurobe Lake and the Ushiro-Tateyama mountain range.
During the festival, a giant igloo known as the "Snow Pocket" appears!
※ This is based on the 2024 schedule. Event details and dates for 2025 will be updated as soon as they are confirmed.

Japan’s Longest Single-Span Aerial Road

The Tateyama Ropeway, connecting Daikanbo and Kurobedaira, has no support pillars between the two stations to preserve the landscape and environment. It serves as a moving observatory, offering a 360-degree panoramic view. From the large windows, enjoy breathtaking scenes of Daikanbo’s vast slopes to the west and the Ushiro-Tateyama mountain range to the east.

Beyond Imagination: The Impressive Kurobe Dam
The Kurobe Dam is one of Japan’s largest, standing at a height of 186 meters, the tallest in the country. During this season, the dam’s iconic water release hasn’t started yet, resulting in fewer tourists than in summer. This allows for a leisurely experience of the stunning scenery with remaining snow.

A festival of flowers with vibrant tulips in full bloom: Tonami Tulip Fair
★ The tour includes the entrance fee (normally 1,500 yen) for the event.
【Tonami Tulip Fair】

The Tonami Tulip Fair features a dazzling display of 300 varieties and 3 million tulips, vividly blooming to paint the landscape in vibrant colors.
The venue is filled with impressive attractions, including:
A breathtaking ground mural made entirely of tulips
The 26-meter-high Tulip Tower
Unique floating flowerbeds on the Gourd Pond
The Flower Valley, a romantic 4-meter-high floral installation inspired by the Snow Wall

Be captivated by the endless sea of tulips swaying gently in the breeze—truly an unforgettable experience! 🌷🌼✨

Step into Japan’s nostalgic past with the traditional thatched-roof village of Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The Shirakawa-go Gassho-Zukuri Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to 114 thatched-roof Gassho-style houses nestled between rice fields. Its simple yet beautiful scenery is often referred to as the “original landscape of Japan” and continues to captivate visitors from around the world.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through this picturesque village, where you can relax and be soothed by the stunning natural beauty.
