Product Info

Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin Temple
The temple grounds feature a maple tree approximately 400 years old, designated as a natural monument of Fukuoka Prefecture. Every November, during the autumn foliage season, this tree transforms into a vibrant display of bright red, attracting many visitors. It is equally beautiful during the fresh green season of spring, offering different scenery throughout the year.
Karatsu Castle
Karatsu Castle was built over seven years, starting in 1602 (the 7th year of the Keicho era) by Terasawa Hirotaka, a vassal of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It is said that its construction materials were sourced from the abandoned Nagoya Castle. Because the sand dunes and pine forests surrounding the castle resemble a crane spreading its wings, it is also known as 'Maizuru Castle' (Dancing Crane Castle).
Imari Okawachiyama, The Village of Secret Kilns
Okawachiyama is blessed with a unique geographical location, surrounded by mountains on three sides, which helped protect pottery-making techniques from being leaked. To prevent the spread of these techniques, the feudal lord established checkpoints here and gathered highly skilled potters under strict management. These measures ensured the high quality and uniqueness of Nabeshima ware, making it an important legacy in the history of Japanese ceramics. Okawachiyama still preserves traditional pottery-making techniques to this day, earning it the name 'The Village of Secret Kilns'.
