It is a comprehensive cultural tourism destination where visitors can learn about, experience, and enjoy traditional Korean culture. The Korean Folk Village features iconic characters such as the 'Beggar,' the 'Peddler' who gained over 1 million views, and the 'Gisaeng' who captures the attention of male visitors, along with other new characters selected through auditions. Set against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty, these characters present a fantastic world and engaging relationships to visitors, making them feel as if they have stepped back in time to the Joseon era.
Everland is both a large-scale outdoor theme park and a comprehensive resort and leisure village. It offers a wide variety of large-scale entertainment facilities and is the most popular theme park in South Korea. The charm of Everland lies in the endless joy, fantasy, thrills, excitement, poetic scenery, and romance it offers its visitors. Everland opened in 1976 and has a history spanning over 40 years. Originally known as 'Yongin Natural Farm,' it has evolved over 50 years into a comprehensive amusement complex that includes Everland (theme park), Caribbean Bay (water park), and Home Bridge. The park consists of five major themed zones: Global Fair (main entrance commercial area), American Adventure (thrill rides), Magic Land (children's facilities, Aesop's Village), European Adventure (Four Seasons Garden, Rose Garden), and Zootopia (zoo/safari). Everland not only features thrilling rides but also vibrant and exciting performances. During the summer, there are over 70 performances daily, including three major parades: the Summer Water Festival Parade, the Happy Carnival Parade, and the Moonlight Parade, which illuminates the night with hundreds of thousands of lights. The highlight of the daily performances is the evening laser and fireworks show, 'Ra-Lion's Dream.' Depending on the season, Everland hosts six different festivals: the New Year's Festival, the Flower Carnival, the Summer Water Festival, the Happy Halloween Festival, the Christmas Holiday Carnival, and the Snow Carnival.
