I thought the itinerary was well-organized, although it involves a long bus ride. Antelope Canyon and the Grand Canyon are definitely worth a visit. The tour guide was very nice and would help you take photos.
The tour guide will help set up the photo mode. If you're traveling solo, you can ask the guide to take photos for you, but since each group has about 10 people, they can't take photos for you all the time. The entire tour is in English, and the guide speaks some basic Chinese for Chinese-speaking tourists (he mentioned "tip" when I gave him a tip, and also mentioned the character for "horse" in the Year of the Horse 😂😂 I guess there are a lot of Chinese tourists here – but he didn't speak Chinese for others). He has no accent. I was very lucky to see such beautiful scenery throughout the trip. Tips are about $5-10 USD, depending on personal preference. One group of Chinese tourists in our group tipped the guide at the beginning, and it seemed like the guide treated them well 😂😂😂 Also, I suggest using the restrooms at the hotel if possible, because the restrooms in the park are all unflushable 😆 That's all for my sharing!
Utah, being an inland state, has extremely low humidity, making it easy to get sunburned or dehydrated without realizing it. However, our guide and driver, Mr. Yang, was very attentive to each tourist's needs, constantly reminding us to drink water and replenish our energy. Water, lunch, and snacks were all included in the tour price, so there was no need to worry about starving in the desert. The bus had strong signal and good air conditioning. Although the meeting time was extremely early, we could comfortably sleep on the bus and enjoy the journey to the attractions without getting too tired. The company providing this day tour used a medium-sized bus, not a large one, so I found the seats more comfortable and easier to sleep in. At each attraction, the guide gave a brief explanation of its features and history, which helped me, who hadn't done any prior research, learn more about the local culture. One thing to note is that the journey involves a section of mountain roads; it's not very bumpy, but the overall travel time is long, so those prone to motion sickness should take medication beforehand.
I was initially hesitant about which day tour to choose, but after reading many reviews, I can say that if you're short on time and don't want to be too tired, this is the one for you! We were very well taken care of along the way, and we even met a Mandarin-speaking driver! They were especially considerate of those who speak Chinese! Our American tour guide, Scarlett, was also excellent; with over 20 years of experience, she ensured we got great value for our money! The bus was very comfortable, and my friends all slept very well!
