This hike was quite challenging, as we were climbing in April, the hottest month in Thailand. We sweated a lot, so I highly recommend everyone prepare adequate sun protection. A big thank you to our guide, MO, for his professionalism, detailed explanations, and many interesting stories. The driver was very steady, allowing us to sleep comfortably in the car. Lunch was at a local restaurant; hygiene was average, but the food tasted okay.
Probably around five grown rescued elephants including a young one. Good Mandarin speaking guide. The elephants were chill and friendly. The young one had an attitude not wanting to eat the non-sweet special diet food we prepared, just too funny. Overall a fun experience except the biting flies once you exposed
The staff were friendly. I thought the drive would take a long time, but it actually got to the location quite quickly, in about an hour.
