Although it was quite cold that day, the most unique thing was that the metal handles had heating devices, which was a surprising experience for me. Also, you really have to wear your hat properly or it will blow away.
It was a fantastic experience. The guide was very professional and helpful, knew how to find the best angles for photos, paid close attention to each participant's condition, and gave plenty of time for taking pictures.
I originally thought I could take a boat trip through the nearby caves, but it took 50 minutes to reach Cavern House on the other side. The wind was also very cold. When I arrived at the destination, the intertidal sea caves were truly amazing. I could see a whole field of blue glowworms up close. But that wasn't all; later, there was a boat trip with a starry sky filled with glowworms overhead. It was so beautiful, but unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures.
The drive from Queenstown is a bit long, so not driving was a wise choice. The scenery along the way was beautiful, the views from the boat were magnificent, and we even saw a rainbow. We stopped to see Kea on both the outbound and return journeys, and the tour guide was very friendly!
