The weather wasn't great when we visited, but the nostalgic charm was still palpable. The beautiful scenery, refined by time, remained vivid in our minds. Excellent traffic management, a polite driver, and Ms. Wang's attentive service made for a wonderful little trip. A quiet and charming part of the Japanese countryside. Definitely worth a visit.
You can really enjoy a full day off here. Not only are the squirrel monkeys and ring-tailed lemurs displayed without fences, but the overall proximity to the monkeys and the loving descriptions and explanations of them were delightful. The extra-charge snack-making experience was also enjoyable for the whole family, both the storytelling and the hands-on activity.
Mr. He was very punctual and drove very smoothly. At each attraction, he accompanied us to the entrance and gave us directions. He answered all our questions carefully and patiently! We were so lucky to have Mr. He with us on this trip, which took us with our parents who are over 70 years old. We are very grateful!
Our tour guide, Helen, was fantastic. She was quick from roll call to assembly. There were three foreigners on the tour, and she explained everything to them in English the entire time, taking extra care of them as well. The itinerary was very well-organized. Inuyama Castle is a wonderful old castle with a traditional Japanese castle tower. The wooden stairs inside were really difficult to climb, but very unique. Climbing the tower offers panoramic views of the cherry blossoms. Umasuke Old Town is also beautiful, preserving traditional Japanese architecture. Tsumago-juku was rather ordinary; not many shops were open, and it was raining, making walking difficult. Overall, though, the trip was excellent.
