We were extremely satisfied with this chartered car experience. The 8-hour round trip from Hakodate to Onuma was completed in a very clean and comfortable 5-seater vehicle. Our driver, Mr. Terada, was friendly, polite, professional, and a skilled driver. He was waiting for us in the hotel lobby with a sign. Besides being a driver, Mr. Terada also acted as a professional tour guide. Although he speaks Japanese, he used translation tools to communicate with us. He not only reorganized our itinerary better but also took us to see attractions outside the planned itinerary. At each attraction, Mr. Terada always took photos for us, introduced the sights, and showed us the way. Even the places we passed along the way were explained in detail. He was especially considerate of my elderly mother when getting on and off the bus. My family and I felt that this chartered car experience greatly enhanced our trip. I highly recommend this chartered car day tour service for those without a car license or traveling to Hakodate with elderly relatives. If we visit Hakodate again, my family and I will definitely choose KKDAY again.
After exchanging my JR rail pass at New Chitose Airport, I headed straight to Hakodate, then traveled back to Noboribetsu, Sapporo, Otaru, and Asahikawa. The five-day rail pass also included three attraction passes. Although I only used the Asahikawa Zoo and Sapporo TV Tower passes, overall it was excellent value for money.
