Gujo Hachiman Historic Streets, Muka no Sato Snow Park, and Hot Springs Day Tour | Depart from Nagoya
2026/02/28
It's rare to find a tour that includes a visit to the old street. There's a shop inside that makes food samples—they have so many realistic food magnets, ornaments, and decorations! Be careful with your wallet! 3.5 hours is more than enough time to explore the pastoral village. At the end of February, there wasn't much snow left, just skateboards and donuts, so we ended up just looking for places to kill time. If there's more snow, 3.5 hours would be just right. The animals, including the cows, sheep, and horses, seemed very well cared for. You can buy feed to feed them. Milk and pudding are must-try items; many people buy pudding ice cream. Since I didn't bring snow gloves, I bought them there. I suggest not buying five-finger gloves as they're not very comfortable! This time, it was a small, charming tour led by Xiao Lu, who also served as the guide and driver. I'm grateful he got everyone safely to their destination; the whole bus slept on the return trip! 😆 ⭕ Oh, and no eating on the bus!! This was my first time experiencing a hot spring. Since the entrance fee to Morigago no Sato included the hot spring, I went anyway, albeit hesitantly. Although there were signs in both Chinese and English, I was still afraid of making a mistake, so I secretly observed how the Japanese people stored their belongings. Towels and bath towels could be rented at the counter and returned next to the shoe lockers. The lockers for taking off shoes didn't require coins, but the lockers for clothes and other personal items cost 100 yen. I was shocked to find myself completely naked in front of the lockers! Then I went into the bathing area to shower before soaking. Towels could be tied around your head (because hair shouldn't be in the water). A very enjoyable and rewarding trip! ❄️

It was our first time skiing, and we had a fantastic experience. The instructors were very dedicated. There was a family-friendly ski slope nearby, which the kids had a great time with. The food at the ski resort was also delicious.

The itinerary was perfectly arranged. It might be a little challenging if you don't understand Japanese, but the staff will generally try their best to communicate with you in English or through gestures. Overall, it was fantastic.

Muka no Sato Snow Park + Hot Springs Day Tour (Depart from Nagoya)
2026/02/15
This is a great option for families with young children. The kids have a blast! If you don't want to bring extra snow boots and take up too much luggage space, you can pre-book snow boot rentals on the Morigago no Sato website. The ice cream, pudding, fresh milk, and yogurt sold in the shops inside are also excellent and of a high standard. From 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, there's a hot spring bath with separate large public baths for men and women. If you don't want to soak in the hot spring, you can sit and browse the shops and relax in the seating area. It's a great place to unwind during your trip to Nagoya.

A day trip to Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village, Hida Takayama, and Gunjo Hachiman Old Town in Japan | Departing from Nagoya
2026/02/11
With a nervous heart, I joined KKday's trip for the third time. On the first day, I rushed to the savory ramen shop of Shishimaru with heavy luggage and was too tired to pay attention to the messages when I got back to the hotel. Unexpectedly, KKday gave me a private car tour, because our package only had this group of customers. It was like winning the lottery! A special thank you to Xiao Lu for her excellent service. She guided us through these three places, providing detailed explanations of each attraction and how to see most of them within the limited time. Although we visited three different spots, each quite far apart, she made sure we didn't miss any of the key attractions. The tranquil Gujo Hachiman, even with shops closed or preparing to open, allowed me to enjoy its peaceful beauty and stunning mountain and river views. At Hida Beef Takayama Street, the retro Edo-era streetscape and the delicious taste of Hida beef were truly delightful. Thanks to Xiao Lu's explanation, I felt incredibly satisfied with each bite. We also tried Hida beef skewers, Gohei mochi, and other local delicacies. Finally, we arrived at the Gassho-zukuri village. Luckily, the weather was perfect, with a comfortable temperature. We played in the snow and had a snowball fight. My daughter rushed to the observation deck and saw the entire village, telling me the trip was worthwhile and truly wonderful. Finally, a special thank you to Xiao Lu for his steady driving skills, which made it feel like we weren't speeding through snow and mountains. He even took us to the designated location on the return trip, saving us a fare. Many thanks also for bringing my daughter's leftover earmuffs back to the hotel. If I could give a ten-star review, I would be so happy; I especially want to give a full five-star review!

The information was quite clear and accurate. Also, compared to joining a local tour, KKday's guidance and prices are significantly cheaper, especially for tour passes and equipment rentals.

[Includes 1 person] Hokuriku Gifu Day Tour | Shirakawa-go Gassho Village & Gujo Hachiman Old Street & Showa Retro Art Museum & Food Sample Making Experience & Muka-no-Sato Snow Activities | Depart from Nagoya, Japan
2026/02/01
In the morning, we went to the Gassho-zukuri village to take beautiful photos. Luckily, it was snowing! Snowflakes drifted down, and the entire village was covered in white, like stepping into a fairytale world – breathtakingly beautiful. Although we only had about 2.5 hours, it was quite fulfilling and satisfying for a day trip. In the afternoon, we went to Morigago no Sato to play in the snow. The park was covered in soft, fluffy snow, and we could play on the snowmobiles and sleds as many times as we wanted. We also experienced a super exciting and fun snowmobile ride – the whole family had a blast! Overall, the trip was relaxing and enriching, highly recommended for families with children.

Washigatake Ski Resort Round Trip Bus & Ski Resort Lift 1-Day Ticket Plan|Nagoya Departure/Hida Takayama Departure/Arrival
2026/02/01
The venue is large, with two restaurants. The 1st floor, closer to the bus parking lot, is for ski lessons (each lesson is about two hours long), and the 2nd floor is for restaurants. The other building has a local product shop and a hot spring pool on the 1st floor, and the 2nd floor rental area near the exit is for snowboard lessons. The 3rd floor is a restaurant, but it closes quite early (around 4:20 pm? But it says it closes at 4:45 pm). Remember to go for dinner early.
