Before buying the tickets, I read many people's posts, and a few things to note were: pick up your tickets early, as the ticket collection point for the night ferry only opens at 4:30 PM. When picking up your tickets, confirm what time your ferry is departing. Picking up your tickets too late might result in taking an even later ferry because it's very crowded. Once on board, everyone will be scrambling for the handrails. Don't worry too much about not getting a good seat, though, because after about half the journey, everyone will have taken their photos and will move indoors to find seats. VIP access costs 100 RMB per person and includes a seat on the bow deck, unlimited carbonated drinks, and a complimentary box of imported cream biscuits. Consider this if you want a more comfortable environment and avoid crowds.
Within 24 hours of receiving your ticket, you can take different routes, choose your own boarding point, and enjoy both daytime and nighttime views – it's really convenient.
