Embark on a full-day safari to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest inactive volcanic caldera. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a hippo pool and spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, and flamingos.

Start your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Begin the 3-hour drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via the scenic Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enjoy a brief stop at the entrance gate for registration and an introduction to the conservation area by your guide. Enjoy panoramic views of the crater from the viewpoint before descending.

Begin the thrilling descent into the 600-meter-deep crater. The drive down offers beautiful views and wildlife spotting opportunities. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to about 25,000 large animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and endangered black rhinos.

Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor, where you’ll likely see a wide variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, hyenas, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest. Visit the Lake Magadi area, a shallow alkaline lake where you might spot flocks of flamingos and other waterbirds.

Enjoy a packed lunch at a picnic site near a hippo pool. Here, you can relax and observe hippos wallowing in the water while you eat. After lunch, continue with a game drive through different parts of the crater. You may see more predators like cheetahs and jackals.

Visit the Lerai Forest, where you may spot elephants and rhinos. Begin the ascent out of the crater, taking in the views one last time as you head back toward the crater rim. Start the drive back to Arusha, with possible stops for souvenirs or refreshments along the way.
