Stop 1 – Bastei View
Our first destination is the spectacular Bastei viewing platform. From the parking lot of the Panoramahotel, it is only a few steps to the famous viewing platform. Enjoy one of the most beautiful views in Germany of the Elbe Valley, the bizarre sandstone rocks and the unique landscape of the Saxon Switzerland National Park.
1st stop – Bastei View

Stop 2 – Bad Schandau
In Bad Schandau, the traditional spa town on the Elbe, we will make a short photo stop in the historic market square.

Stop 3 – Border crossing to Hřensko/CZ with a Bohemian lunch break (1 hour)
In Hřensko, you can look forward to a relaxing lunch break of approximately one hour in a cozy restaurant. Take the opportunity to enjoy regional specialties and recharge your batteries for the rest of the tour. If you do not have a VISA to enter the Czech Republic, we will stay in Germany and spend our lunch break in Gohrisch, on the way to the Königstein Fortress.

Stop 4 – Königstein Fortress
After the lunch break, our route takes us along winding panoramic roads to Königstein. The highlight of the tour is the imposing Königstein Fortress – one of the largest mountain fortresses in Europe.

As a tour group, we are allowed to drive directly to the visitor elevator, so you are spared the arduous climb. The entrance fee is not included in the tour price and is to be paid on site. In 2026, the regular admission fee for adults will be EUR 17. Children up to 6 years of age have free entry. Attractive family tickets are also available.

We plan around two hours for the tour of the extensive fortress complex. Look forward to stunning views over the Elbe Valley, exciting exhibitions, and centuries of history.

5. Panoramic drive back to Dresden
After an eventful day, we will begin our relaxing return journey back to Dresden. Our route takes us via Struppen and Pirna along the Elbe back to the starting point.
