On the trail of Kassel women
The history of Kassel and North Hesse is characterised by landgraves and electors, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Hardly anyone talks about the many famous women who surrounded these men. Unjustly, they are almost forgotten, ignored and simply not registered because they were women. On this guided tour, you will immerse yourself in the history of the development of girls' schools and women's associations. You will get to know women's personalities who asserted themselves at an early stage, defying all etiquette. Kassel has many more famous women than just Sophie Henschel, Elisabeth Selbert and Christine Brückner who deserve to be honoured, as you will see for yourself on this tour. Of course, this tour is equally recommended for men and women.
