During the Advanced Open Water Diver course, your experience begins with a warm welcome from our certified instructors who will walk you through the course overview and help you plan your five adventure dives. You’ll review advanced diving theory, including deep dive planning, underwater navigation, and dive safety protocols, all designed to build your confidence and competence underwater.
Over the next 2 to 3 days, you’ll complete five thrilling dives—two are required: a deep dive (up to 130 feet or 40 meters) and an underwater navigation dive using compasses and natural references. The other three adventure dives are chosen by you, with options such as night diving, where you'll explore the mysterious underwater world after dark using dive lights, drift diving, where you'll ride ocean currents like a flying fish, and wreck diving, where you’ll uncover the history and marine life hidden in sunken vessels and others.
Each dive is a guided, hands-on experience, with instructors by your side to help sharpen your buoyancy control, situational awareness, and dive management skills. On surface intervals, you’ll debrief with your instructor, share stories with fellow divers, and study diving theory that complements your practical experience.
By the end of the course, not only will you feel more confident in the water—you’ll also earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive deeper and access more adventurous dive sites around the world. The course includes all instruction, gear rental, and certification processing. A valid Open Water Diver certification and a minimum age of 12 are required to participate. Get ready for the next chapter in your underwater journey!
