From Dushanbe: Fann Mountains Day Tour to Iskanderkul Lake｜Tajikistan

Iskanderkul Lake Full-Day Tour
08:00 – Departure from Dushanbe
Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Dushanbe. We begin our scenic journey to Iskanderkul Lake, one of Tajikistan's most beautiful natural attractions, located approximately 3 hours from the city.
Along the way, we will make a short photo stop near the Anzob Tunnel, where you can capture breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. After approximately 100 km, we leave the main highway and continue for 24 km along a scenic off-road route following the Iskander Darya River before arriving at Iskanderkul.
12:00 – Hike to the Fann "Niagara" Waterfall (Approx. 70 minutes)
After crossing a small bridge, we begin a scenic 2 km downhill hike along the Iskander Darya River to the famous Fann "Niagara" Waterfall. The trail offers beautiful natural scenery and excellent photo opportunities.
For guests who prefer a shorter walk, it is possible to drive part of the route, reducing the hiking distance.
After enjoying the waterfall and the fresh mountain air, we return to the vehicle and continue to the lakeside restaurants.
13:30 – Lunch by the Lake
Enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the lake. Zumrad Tourist Center is a popular choice, offering a lakeside restaurant with spectacular views of Iskanderkul.
Alternatively, you may bring a packed lunch from Dushanbe and enjoy a picnic by the lake. We kindly ask all visitors to help preserve the natural environment by taking all rubbish with them.
14:30 – Visit Snake Lake & Panoramic Viewpoint
After lunch, we visit Moron Lake, also known as Snake Lake, named after the small, harmless water snakes that can occasionally be seen there.
We then continue to a panoramic viewpoint above Iskanderkul Lake, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and capture unforgettable photographs.
15:30 – Return to Dushanbe
After exploring the area and enjoying the magnificent scenery, we begin our return journey to Dushanbe.

Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation or, if you prefer, at a restaurant in the city for dinner before returning to your hotel.
