Discover its treasures on this special guided tour through hidden coves, secluded beaches, salt lakes & magical watering holes. Originally inhabited by the Caiquetio Indians, Bonaire Washington Park is the first nature sanctuary of the former Netherlands Antilles. Established in 1969 and located in the northwest part of the island, it covers an area of roughly one-fifth of Bonaire, and it was the location of Slagbaai - the largest and most productive plantation during the colonial period. Today the park is home to 2 internationally recognized and protected wetlands known as Ramsar sites and is a safe habitat for Bonaire’s native birds and reptiles. Its pristine beaches are an important nesting ground for both the sea turtles and birds that visit the waters of our unspoiled island. With a flexible itinerary, you will have plenty of opportunities to admire and photograph the flora & fauna in their natural habitat.

Washington Park is a national nature park with off-roading paths and dirt roads. Get ready for a fun adventure!
