Once at the base, we’ll explore the 1.3-mile trail encircling this natural wonder. You’ll learn about its cultural significance, marvel at the sacred prayer cloths adorning the trees, and hear the remarkable story of the first settlers who scaled its heights. Movie buffs will also enjoy a nod to “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” After immersing ourselves in the history and majesty of Bear’s Lodge, we’ll browse the gift shop for unique keepsakes before continuing our adventure.

Next, we head to the charming town of Spearfish for a delicious lunch (included in your tour) before entering the crown jewel of the Northern Black Hills: Spearfish Canyon.
