What You Can Expect

Situated just 30 minutes south of Hobart, Bruny Island is a renowned destination celebrated for its awe-inspiring natural beauty and abundance of locally sourced delights. Frequent ferries connect the mainland to the island via Kettering, with a crossing of around 20 minutes. Once you set foot on the island, settle in for a scenic drive and immerse yourself in Bruny's natural beauty.

A must-visit is "The Neck," a slender isthmus linking North and South Bruny. Take the short uphill climb and you'll be generously rewarded with breathtaking vistas across Bruny's picturesque landscapes.

From here, you may wish to add a guided tour of Cape Bruny Lighthouse - a historical gem and one of Australia's oldest lighthouses. Food lovers are spoilt for choice: sample fresh local oysters at Get Shucked, or savour Tasmania's finest artisanal cheeses and condiments at Bruny Island Cheese Co. The island also offers berries, fudge, beer and wine to discover along the way.

To finish, keep an eye out for wildlife with a short stop at Adventure Bay, one of the best places to spot the famous Bruny Island white wallabies, which thrive here thanks to a lack of natural predators and a pristine, protected habitat.

2. Ferry crossing to Bruny Island via Kettering (approx. 20 min)

6. Return ferry and drive back to Hobart City

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 5 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 3 to 4 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–2 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
