Your journey begins with a 1-hour scenic bus ride from Québec City to Berthier-sur-Mer Marina. From there, you'll embark on a 6-hour cruise and visit experience to Grosse-Île, a significant immigration station active from 1832 to 1937. As you sail along the St. Lawrence River, the Lachance Captains will share their knowledge of maritime heritage and immigrant stories, setting the stage for your island exploration.

Upon arrival, Parks Canada guides will lead you through the island's preserved buildings and landscapes. You'll visit key sites like the quarantine station, Celtic Cross, and Irish Memorial, gaining insight into the immigrant experience through immersive exhibits. Costumed interpreters bring the past to life, offering vivid portrayals of daily life at the station. Beyond its historical significance, Grosse-Île offers largely untouched natural beauty, creating a poignant blend of nature and memory.
