At the Zaanse Schans there are over 600 active windmills still in use today, this is the only place in the Netherlands with so many active windmills. Explore these beautiful windmills and also see the original wooden houses, barns and shops.

Go inside one of the windmills with entrance included in the price of your tour, then visit a cheese-making factory and stroopwafel factory. Here you can see how the Dutch cheese and waffles are made.

The next stop is Holland’s best-known fishing village, Volendam. Explore the old harbor filled with medieval ships. Tour the village with your private guide and discover the Doolhof and Oude Kom quarters, known as the most authentic depiction of a traditional Dutch fishing village.
